Physical Appearance and Stability: Lyophilized FGF 18 Rat although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18C. Upon reconstitution FGF 18 Rat should be stored at 4C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18C.Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Formulation and Purity: Lyophilized from a 0.2um filtered concentrated solution in PBS, pH 7.4. Greater than 95.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analyses.
Application:
Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized FGF 18 in sterile 18M-cm H2O not less than 100ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Biological Activity: The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of thymidine uptake by BaF3 cells expressing FGF-receptors is  < 0.5ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of  > 2.0x1, 000, 000 units/mg.
