Chemokine (C-X-C motif) Ligand 10 (CXCL10) is a small cytokine belonging to the C-X-C chemokine family that is also known as 10 kDa IFN-gamma-induced protein (IP-10). CXCL10/IP-10 is secreted by several cell types in response to IFN-gamma. These cell types include monocytes, endothelial cells and fibroblasts. CXCL10/IP-10 has been attributed to several roles, such as chemoattraction for monocytes/macrophages, T-cells, NK cells, and dendritic cells, promotion of T-cell adhesion to endothelial cells, antitumor activity, and inhibition of bone marrow colony formation and angiogenesis. CXCL10/IP-10 elicits its effects by binding to the cell surface chemokine receptor CXCR3. The Mouse CXCL10/IP-10ELISA is an, in vitro, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of Mouse CXCL10/IP-10 in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants and urine. This assay employs an antibody specific for CXCL10/IP-10 coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and CXCL10/IP-10 present in a sample is bound to the wells by the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed and Biotinylated Anti-Mouse CXCL10/IP-10 antibody is added. After washing away unbound Biotinylated antibody, HRP-Streptavidin is pipetted to the wells. The wells are again washed, a TMB substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of CXCL10/IP-10 bound.
Storage and Stability
May be stored for up to 6 months at 2-8C from the date of shipment. Standard should be stored below -20C (-80C recommended) after reconstitution. Opened Microplate Wells and reagents may be store for up to 1 month at 2-4C. Return unused wells to the pouch containing desiccant pack, reseal along entire edge of zipseal.
The minimum detectable dose of CXCL10/IP-10 is typically less than 15 pg/mL.
