Recombinant Human Complement C5a His

Human complement C5a is a 74-amino acid glycopeptide generated during complement activation from the α, -chain of complement C5. C5a is a potent chemotactic factor for human peripheral blood neutrophils and monocytes, and is believed to play an important role in a number of inflammatory conditions. The 74 amino acid, human C5a protein expressed in, E. coli, with a 6 amino acid, N-terminal His Tag sequence and 28 amino acid proprietary vector sequence necessary for expression. The recombinant protein is not further processed to remove the additional sequence. Recombinant Human Complement C5a with His tag has an activity similar to that of serum derived C5a based on enzyme assay of myeloperoxidase release.

Lyophilized with no additives

The solution should be aliquoted and immediately stored at -80C for future use. Frozen/thaw will result in some loss of activity.
