0. 09% Sodium Azide (NaN3) 1% Bovine Serum AlbuminApprox. Protein Concentrations: IgG concentration 0. 1mg/ml
Specificity:
Recognises murine CD83 a 45kD type 1 glyoprotein belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily. Originally described as a maturation marker for dendritic cells CD83 plays a role in the regulation of antigen presentation thymic T-cell maturation B-cell function and peripheral T-cell activation. Activated dendritic cells and B-cells release a soluble form of CD83 that is reported to have an immunosuppressive effect suggesting a therapeutic role for sCD83 in the regulation of immune disorders. Recommended Negative Controls: RAT IgG2a NEGATIVE CONTROL:FITC
Function:
May play a significant role in antigen presentation or the cellular interactions that follow lymphocyte activation By similarity. Subunit structureMonomer By similarity. Subcellular locationMembrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein By similarity. Tissue specificityAbundantly expressed in spleen and brain but is also detected in most tissues analyzed.
