Description	Recombinant Biotinylated Human Integrin alpha 2 beta 1 (ITGA2&ITGB1) Heterodimer Protein is expressed from HEK293 with His tag and Avi tag at the C-terminus.It contains Tyr30-Thr1132 (ITGA2) and Gln21-Asp728 (ITGB1).
Background	The α2β1 integrin, also known as VLA-2, GPIa-IIa, CD49b, was first identified as an extracellular matrix receptor for collagens and/or laminins. It is now recognized that the α2β1 integrin serves as a receptor for many matrix and nonmatrix molecules. It plays a critical role in platelet function and homeostasis.
