ImmunoDiagnostics Limited

ImmunoDiagnostics Limited

As a spin-off company of the University of Hong Kong in China, ImmunoDiagnostics Limited (IMD) is headquartered in Hong Kong. A second branch of IMD is located in Toronto, Canada. IMD develops and manufactures biomarkers, assays such as: enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISAs), including immunoblotting assays (ITAs) and chemieluminescence assays (CLIAs), as well as in vitro diagnostic (IVD) products for clinical and research institutions.

The manufacturing process involves several steps in which recombinant proteins are used to produce biomarkers, which are then purified to a purity of > 95% by various chromatographic purification processes. After this step, the biomarkers are used as antigens to produce highly specific antibodies in host animals. The antibodies contained in the serum of the animals are purified again using IgG and antigen-based affinity purification. The antibodies obtained can then be used for various assays.

COVID-19

IMD sells COVID-19 products, including IVD and research products such as ELISA kits, proteins, and antibodies.

Article name Art. No.
SARS-CoV-2 NP IgG ELISA Kit [CE-IVD] IMD- 41A222
SARS-CoV-2 Spike-ACE2 Binding Assay Kit [RUO] IMD-41A249R
SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid protein (NP) IMD-41A220
Affinity-purified polyclonal antibody against SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid protein (NP) IMD-41A229

PETIA

Particle-Enhanced Turbidimetric Immunoassays (PETIA) allows rapid determination of the concentration of a target protein within 10 minutes, by determining sample turbidity. Here, antibodies are conjugated with latex particles, antigens and conjugated-antibodies form immune complexes, precipitate and increase turbidity. The concentration of the analyte can be determined by photometric or determination of the light beam still passing through or by chemical analysis.

IMD has a range of ready-to-use PETIA kits in its portfolio that support risk management and diagnosis of important chronic diseases. The kits consist of liquid reagents and can be used in various biological matrices such as serum, plasma and/or urine for the quantitative determination of proteins and adapted to the appropriate analytical equipment. The kits are complete, no additional reagents or reagent preparations are required.

Other product categories

Due to changing environmental conditions, the incidence of autoimmune diseases is increasing. Autoimmune diseases are a pathological condition of the immune system in which antibodies are directed against and attack cells and/or tissues of the patient's own body. It affects more women than men and poses the fourth greatest threat of disability for women between the ages of 15 and 64. A wide range of products are available to diagnose such an autoimmune disease. The current diagnostic principle is based on the detection of circulating autoantibodies, using autoantigens.

MicroRNAs for the research areas of oncology, neurodegenerative diseases and cardiovascular diseases as well as assays for neurodegenerative diseases and dementia are available.

Customer Servie

IMD offers several service areas, including custom recombinant protein expression services, mono- and polyclonal antibody production, and clinical and preclinical sample analysis.
