Full length native protein purified from Pig spinal cord.

Neurofilaments contain three intermediate filament proteins: light (68kD), medium (160kD) and heavy (200kD). Neurofilament heavy (NF200 or NF-H) is phosphorylated and it is thought that this results in the formation of interfilament cross bridges that are important in the maintenance of axonal caliber.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 1:5000-1:10, 000
Immunocytochemistry: 1:500-1:1000
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
