Synthetic peptide corresponding to aa1-100 of human SOX2 at N-terminal. Species sequence homology: human and sheep (100%), mouse and chicken (92%), xenopus (86%), and zebrafish (71%).

The SOX (SRY-box containing gene) gene family encodes a group of transcription factors defined by the conserved high motility group (HMG) DNA-binding domain. They are involved in the regulation of embryonic development and in the determination of cell fate.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilutions:
Western Blot: 1:2000-1:3000, band seen at ~40kD
Immunohistochemistry: 1:125-1:500
Immunocytochemistry: 1:125-1:250
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Human and Mouse Brain Lysates

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
