Synthetic peptide corresponding to GKPIPNPLLGLDST (V5) conjugated to KLH.

Epitope tags have applications in the labeling, isolation and detection of proteins using immunoblotting, Immunoprecipitation and immunostaining techniques. Epitope tags can be used, by affinity chromatography, to separate recombinant, overexpressed protein from wild-type protein expressed by the host organism. Due its small size the protein’s biochemical properties seem not to be affected by the tag protein. The V5 tag antibody can be used in many different assays that require recognition by an antibody.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Dot Blot, ELISA, Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilutions:
Immunohistochemistry: 1:500-1:2000
Western Blot: 1:1000-1:3000
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
