Bio Background	This gene encodes a member of the annexin family. The specific function of this gene has notyet been determined; however, it is associated with the plasmamembrane of undifferentiated, proliferating endothelial cells anddifferentiated villus enterocytes. Alternatively spliced transcriptvariants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
