Description of target	Catalyzes the phosphorylation of sphingosine to form sphingosine 1-phosphate (SPP), a lipid mediator with both intra- and extracellular functions. Also acts on D-erythro-dihydrosphingosine, D-erythro-sphingosine and L-threo-dihydrosphingosine. Binds phosphoinositides.

Purification	The antibody was purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using phospho peptide. The antibody against non-phospho peptide was removed by chromatography using corresponding non-phospho peptide.
Immunogen	The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human SPHK2 around the phosphorylation site of Thr614.
Dilution	The optimal working dilution should be determined by the end user.
Manufacturer - Specificity	SPHK2 (Phospho-Thr614) antibody detects endogenous levels of SPHK2 only when phosphorylated at threonine 614.
