Gene Full Name	Leukocyte tyrosine kinase receptor
Protein Function	Receptor with a tyrosine-protein kinase activity. The exact function of this protein is not known. Studies with chimeric proteins (replacing its extracellular region with that of several known growth factor receptors, such as EGFR and CSFIR) demonstrate its ability to promote growth and specifically neurite outgrowth, and cell survival. Signaling appears to involve the PI3 kinase pathway. Involved in regulation of the secretory pathway involving endoplasmic reticulum (ER) export sites (ERESs) and ER to Golgi transport.

Description	The LTK Cell-Based ELISA Kit is a convenient, lysate-free, high throughput and sensitive assay kit that can monitor LTK protein expression profile in cells. The kit can be used for measuring the relative amounts of LTK in cultured cells as well as screening for the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (ie. siRNA or chemicals), or activators have on LTK.
Tissue Specificity	Expressed in non-hematopoietic cell lines and T- and B-cell lines.
