Protein Function	In adipose tissue and heart, it primarily hydrolyzes stored triglycerides to free fatty acids, while in steroidogenic tissues, it principally converts cholesteryl esters to free cholesterol for steroid hormone production.

Description	The HSL (Phospho-Ser552) Cell-Based ELISA Kit is a convenient, lysate-free, high throughput and sensitive assay kit that can monitor HSL (Phospho-Ser552) protein expression profile in cells. The kit can be used for measuring the relative amounts of HSL (Phospho-Ser552) in cultured cells as well as screening for the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (ie. siRNA or chemicals), or activators have on HSL (Phospho-Ser552).
