Protein Function	Promotes cell death. Successfully competes for the binding to Bcl-X (L), Bcl-2 and Bcl-W, thereby affecting the level of heterodimerization of these proteins with BAX. Can reverse the death repressor activity of Bcl-X (L), but not that of Bcl-2 (By similarity). Appears to act as a link between growth factor receptor signaling and the apoptotic pathways.

Description	The BAD (Phospho-Ser155) Cell-Based ELISA Kit is a convenient, lysate-free, high throughput and sensitive assay kit that can monitor BAD (Phospho-Ser155) protein expression profile in cells. The kit can be used for measuring the relative amounts of BAD (Phospho-Ser155) in cultured cells as well as screening for the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (ie. siRNA or chemicals), or activators have on BAD (Phospho-Ser155).
