Description	METAP1 Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 409 amino acids (1-386) and having a molecular mass of 45.7kDa. METAP1 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Protein function	Cotranslationally removes the N-terminal methionine from nascent proteins. The N-terminal methionine is often cleaved when the second residue in the primary sequence is small and uncharged (Met-Ala-, Cys, Gly, Pro, Ser, Thr, or Val). Required for normal progression through the cell cycle.
Purification	Greater than 90.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
