Supplied as a lyophilized powder from PBS, pH 7.4, 5% trehalose. Reconstitute with 200ul sterile PBS.

Recombinant corresponding to aa19-144 from human IL-9 Sf21-derived, expressed in S. frugiperda insect ovarian cell line.

Interleukin-9 (IL-9) is a 14kD glycosylated cytokine that is secreted by CD4+ Th2 cells. It supports the growth of multiple hematopoietic cell types including Th cells, germinal center B cells, macrophages, mast cells, neutrophils, megakaryocytes, and erythrocytes. IL-9 exerts its biological effects through a receptor complex composed of IL-9 R and the common gamma chain. Mature human IL-9 shares 57% aa sequence identity with mouse and rat IL-9.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Flow Cytometry: 2.5ug labels 10e6 cells
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
