Mouse Anti-Human Matrix Metallopeptidase 13 mAb

Lyophilized antibody is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt at -20C to -80C. Reconstituted antibody can be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20C to -80C for at least six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Mouse Anti-Human MMP13 monoclonal antibody was produced from a hybridoma (mouse myeloma fused with spleen cells from a mouse immunized with purified human recombinant human MMP-13). The IgG1 fraction of the tissue culture supernatant was purified by Protein G affinity chromatography. MMP-13 is distinguished from the other human collagenases by its efficient degradation of type II collagen. MMP13 is expressed by fibroblasts, chrondrocytes and squamous epithelial cells. Structurally, MMP-13 may be divided into several distinct domains: a prodomain which is cleaved upon activation, a catalytic domain containing the zinc binding site, a short hinge region, and a carboxyl terminal (hemopexinlike) domain.
