Optimal dilutions should be determined by each laboratory for each application.

The lyophilized antibody is stable at 2-4C for at least 1 month and for more than a year at -20C. Reconstituted anti-Human Prox1 is stable at 2-4C for >6 months or can be stored in working aliquots at -20C to -80C for at least 6 months without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Prox-1 is a homeobox gene and acts as a master switch for lymphatic endothelial phenotype. Expression of Prox-1 in blood endothelial cells induces expression of other lymphatic marker genes. Together with Podoplanin, Prox-1 can be used to reliably distinguish lympathic vessels from blood vessels. Prox1 is expressed in CNS, eye, pancreas, liver and heart, and it is one of the most specific and reliable markers for lymphatic endothelial cells. This polyclonal antibody is produced from sera of rabbits immunised with the recombinant highly conserved C-terminal part of the homeobox transcription factor Prox1.
