Tumor necrosis factor-beta (TNF-a), also known as lymphotoxin-a (LT-a) is a potent lymphoid factor that exerts cytotoxic effects on a wide range of tumor cells and certain other target cells. TNF-a possesses a signal peptide sequence and is a secreted protein, however, TNF-a is also present on the surface of activated T, B and LAK cells as a complex with LT-a. Bioactive TNF-a exists as a homotrimer. The 359-81-11 antibody reacts with human tumor necrosis factor-beta (TNF-a). The 359-81-11 antibody can neutralize the bioactivity of natural or recombinant TNF-a.
