Mouse Anti-Multispecies P53 Tumor protein Clone PAb240 mAb

This monoclonal antibody recognizes a protein of 53 kDa which is identified as the product of p53 tumor suppressor gene. It reacts with only certain mutant p53 protein under non-denaturing condition in immunoprecipitation but reacts with both mutant and wild form of p53 under denaturing condition in Western blotting. Its epitope maps within the middle region (aa 212-217) of p53. In frozen node-negative breast cancers, immunohistochemical staining with a cocktail of Pab240/1801 was reported to be most strongly associated with overall survival compared with either antibody alone or with other antibodies directed toward p53. Purification: Purified from ascites by Protein G chromatography. Immunogen: Murine p53-beta-galactosidase fusion protein containing p53 sequence from amino acid 14-289.
