Description	Rabbit Anti-Rat Caspase 4 polyclonal antibody. Caspase family of cysteine proteases has been shown to play a key role in apoptosis. Caspase 4 is also synthesized as inactive pro-enzyme that are processed in cells undergoing apoptosis or inflammation. The processed form of caspase 4 consists of large and small subunits which associate to form an active enzyme.
Formulation	Liquid in PBS, pH 7.2 + 30% glycerol + 0.5% BSA + 0.01% thimerosal. Precaution: Thimerosal is a poisonous and hazardous substance which should be handled by trained staff only.
Immunogen	Synthetic peptide surrounding amino acid 257 of rat caspase 4

Specificity	Detects pro-caspase 4 (45 kDa), a partially cleaved fragment (30 kDa) and fully cleaved fragment (20 kDa). A 58 kDa unkown identity band was also detected in 3T3 cells.
Concentration	0.2 mg/ml
