Cross-Reactivity	Mouse MIP-1 alpha
Description	MIP-1 alpha (macrophage inflammatory protein-1 alpha) is a 69-amino acid CC chemokine with a molecular weight of 7.9 kDa. MIP-1 alpha induces migration of monocytes/macrophages, B lymphocytes, activated CD8+ T-cells, natural killer (NK) cells and eosinophils. MIP-1 alpha also stimulates basophils to release histamine, induces ICAM-1 expression, mast cell degranulation, and production of TNF alpha, IL-1 and IL-6. In addition to its proinflammatory activities, MIP-1 alpha inhibits the proliferation of hematopoietic stem cells, in vitro, and, in vivo .
Formulation	Lyophilized. Contains 0.05% sodium azide. Precaution: Sodium azide is a poisonous and hazardous substance which should be handled by trained staff only.
Immunogen	Recombinant Rat MIP-1 alpha, using, E. coli, -expressed amino acid 1-69 of mature rat MIP-1alpha.
Purification	Protein A purified
Reconstitution	Centrifuge vial prior to opening. Reconstitute to 1 mg/ml by adding 500 ul water.
Storage and Stability	Store at 4C for short term storage or -20C in small aliquots for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
