Storage Conditions	The lyophilized protein is best stored desiccated below 0C. Reconstituted protein ?should be stored at working aliquots at -20C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please note that the addition of any carrier protein into this product may produce unwanted endotoxin. This depends upon the particular application employed. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles .

Description	PLGF-1 is an angiogenic factor that belongs to the cysteine-knot superfamily of growth factors. PLGF-1 is expressed in placental tissues, colon and mammary carcinomas. It signals through the VEGFR-1/FLT1 receptor and stimulates endothelial cell proliferation and migration. Recombinant human PLGF-1 is a disulfide-linked homodimeric protein containing two 131 amino acid polypeptide chains.
Formulation	Lyophilized from a sterile filtered solution containing BSA.
Reconstitution	Centrifuge the vial prior to opening. Reconstitute the protein in sterile 20 mM acetic acid to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. The solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at 2-4C for 1 week or -20C for future use.
Biological Activity	Determined by its ability to chemoattract human monocytes of using a concentration range of 0.5-10 ng/ml.
Endotoxin Level	< 0.1 ng per ug of PLGF-1
