Description	Recombinant Human PKC alpha (PRKCA) made in insect cells. Protein kinase C (PKC) is in a family of serine- and threonine-specific protein kinases that can be activated by calcium and the second messenger diacylglycerol. They phosphorylate a wide variety of protein targets and are involved in diverse cellular signaling pathways.
Formulation	Liquid in a buffer of 20 mM HEPES, pH 7.5, + 250 mM NaCl + 2 mM EDTA + 2 mM EGTA + 5 mM DTT + 0.05% Triton X-100 + 50% Glycerol
Specificity	1570 nmole/min of phosphate transferred to Histone H1 substrate per mg of total protein at 30C. Activity determined at a final concentration of 0.5 to 2 ug/ml
Endotoxin Level	<0.1 ng/ug of protein.
Concentration	0.37 mg/ml total protein as measured using the Bradford protein assay with BSA as a standard.
