Storage Conditions	The lyophilized protein is stable at 2-4C, but should be kept desiccated at -20C for long term storage. After reconstitution, the protein is stable for 1 week at 2-4C. For long term storage, aliquot and freeze at -80C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Description	Recombinant Rhesus Macaque Serum Amyloid A1 is a single non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 104 amino acids. Serum amyloid A proteins (SAA) represents a family of apolipoproteins that circulates in association with high-density lipoproteins (HDL). The level of apo-SAA, normally 1-5 ug/ml in plasma, increases 500-1000 fold within 24 hours of an inflammatory stimulus and, under these conditions, is the most abundant HDL apo-lipoprotein.
Formulation	Lyophilized from a 0.2 um filtered concentrated solution in PBS, pH 7.4.
Reconstitution	Centrifuge vial prior to opening. Reconstitute in sterile distilled water or aqueous buffer containing 0.1% BSA to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. Stock solutions should be divided into working aliquots and stored at -80C. Further dilutions should be made in appropriate buffered solutions.
Biological Activity	Fully biologically active when compared to standard. Determined by its ability to chemoattract human monocytes using a concentration range of 1.0-10.0 ng/ml.
Endotoxin Level	< 0.1 ng/ug of protein.
