Storage Conditions	Lyophilized product is stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, but it is recommended to store the lyophilized product desiccated at -80C. Upon reconstitution, protein should be stored at 2-4C for one week and for future use at -80C. Add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) as a stabilizer for long term storage. Please note that the addition of any carrier protein into this product may produce unwanted endotoxin. This depends upon the particular application employed. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Description	Recombinant rat IL-2 is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 134 amino acids.
Formulation	Lyophilized from a concentrated (1 mg/ml) solution after extensive dialysis against 10 mM sodium citrate buffer, pH 4.0.
Reconstitution	Centrifuge vial prior to opening. Reconstitute in sterile 20 mM AcOH to a concentration not less than 100 ug/ml to fully solubilize the protein. After complete solubilization of the protein, it can be further diluted into other aqueous solutions.
Specificity	2.5 MIU/mg
Biological Activity	Determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of mouse CTLL-2 cells. The ED50 is < 0.4 ng/ml.
Endotoxin Level	<0.1 ng/ug of protein
