Storage Conditions	This lyophilized preparation is stable at 2-4C, but should be kept desiccated at -20C for long term storage. Upon reconstitution, the preparation is stable for up to one week at 2-4C. For maximal stability, apportion the reconstituted preparation into working aliquots and store at -20C to -80C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Molecular Weight	Approximately 8.4 kDa, a single non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 72 amino acids.
Description	SDF-1 alpha and beta are stromal derived CXC chemokines, and signal through the CXCR4 receptor. SDF-1 alpha and beta chemoattract B and T cells, and have been shown to induce migration of CD34+ stem cells. Additionally, the SDF-1 proteins exert HIV suppressive activity in cells expressing the CXCR4 receptor.
Formulation	Lyophilized from a 0.2 um filtered concentrated solution in 20 mM PB, pH 7.4 + 150 mM NaCl.
Reconstitution	Centrifuge vial prior to opening. Add sterile distilled water or aqueous buffer to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. Further dilutions should be made in appropriate buffered solutions. Please note that the addition of any carrier protein into this product may produce unwanted endotoxin. This depends upon the particular application employed.
Specificity	„ 5.0 ca. 103 IU/mg.
Biological Activity	Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The ED50 determined by a chemotaxis bioassay using human peripheral blood monocytes is less than 200 ng/ml
Endotoxin Level	Less than 1EU/ug of rRtSDF-1beta/CXCL12 as determined by LAL method.
