Antigen Description	Thrombopoietin (leukemia virus oncogene ligand, megakaryocytegrowth and development factor), also known as TPO, is a glycoprotein hormoneproduced mainly by the liver and the kidney that regulates the production ofplatelets by the bone marrow. It stimulates the production and differentiationof megakaryocytes, the bone marrow cells that fragment into large numbers ofplatelets.
