RecombinantHuman Interleukin-10 (IL-10) Originally known as Cytokine SynthesisInhibitory Factor (CSIF) is an 18.6kDa protein of 161 amino acid residuesthat shares over 80% sequence homology with the Epstein-Barr Virus proteinBCRFI. And which was expressed in E. coli. The reported biological activitiesof IL-10, which may inter-related, include inhibition of macrophage mediatedcytokine synthesis, suppression of the delayed type hyper-sensitivityresponse, and stimulation of the TH2 cell response which results in elevatedantibody production.

Purified, Lyophilized. We recommend a quick spin followed byreconstitution in 5mM NaP, pH 7.2 to a concentration of 0.1-1.0mg/ml. Thelyophilized IL-10 is soluble in water and most aqueous buffers. This solutioncan be diluted into other buffered solutions or stored at –20C for futureuse.
