Background	Interleukin-13 (IL-13) is a protein encoded by the IL13 gene. It is specifically secreted by T helper 2 cells to mediate allergic inflammation or disease. IL-13 becomes active through a multi-subunit receptor including an alpha chain of the IL-4 receptor and an IL-13 specific binding chain. Many of the biological effects of IL-13 are linked to a single transcription factor, signal transducer, and activator of STAT6.
Highlights	Fully configured colorimetric ELISA kit in sandwich fomat. Natural - purified protien provided as standard. Assay range: 15.6pg/ml-1000pg/ml. Validated for cell culture medium, serum and plasma.
