Background	VEGF stands for Vascular permeability factor/vascular endothelial growth factor. It is a cytokine expressed by malignant tumors and has a major role in vasculogenesis, as well as physiological and pathological angiogenesis. VEGF produced by tumor cells strongly stimulates endothelial cell proliferation and angiogenesis. It is also associated with the pathophysiology of several neoplasias. VEGF has been studied for its relation to mediating the development of diabetic retinopathy.
Highlights	Fully configured colorimetric ELISA kit in sandwich fomat. Natural - purified protien provided as standard. Assay range: 15.6pg/ml-1000pg/ml. Validated for cell culture medium, serum and plasma.
