This mouse PECAM-1/CD31 ELISA Kit is based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. A monoclonal antibody from mouse specific for PECAM-1/CD31 has been precoated onto 96-well plates. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, a biotinylated detection polyclonal antibody from goat specific for PECAM-1/CD31 is added subsequently and then followed by washes with PBS or TBS buffer. An Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex is added and unbound conjugates are washed away with PBS or TBS buffer. The HRP substrate TMB is used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB is catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changes into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the concentration of PECAM-1/CD31 captured on the plate.
