Description	BAP31 (B Cell Receptor Associated Protein, 28 kDa) is a multiple membrane spanning protein of the endoplasmic reticulum. It is a potential apoptotic regulator as a predicted BCL2/BCLXL associated protein. BAP31 has two identical recognition sites in the C terminal domain of for initiator Caspases 1 and 8 of the programmed death cascade. The interference with the expression or function of BAP31 in epithelial cells may be a way to circumvent the chloride channel defect in cystic fibrosis. GenScript, BAP31 Antibody, pAb, Rabbit, is developed in rabbit using a KLH-coupled synthetic peptide within residues 120-270 of human BAP31 protein (Swiss Prot: P51572).
