Genway ID:
GWB-F9934E
Antigen Specificity:
Polyclonal antibody produced in rabbits immunized with a synthetic peptide corresponding to a region of Human FIP1L1.
ELISA Titre:
1:62500
Category:
RNA Binding Proteins
Note:
Suggested starting concentrations are provided. Optimal dilutions should be determined by end-user. Differences in calculated versus apparent molecular weight may be due to post-translational modifications or protein hydrophobicity. FIP1L1 is a component of the cleavage and polyadenylation specificity factor (CPSF) complex that plays a key role in pre-mRNA 3`-end formation. recognizing the AAUAAA signal sequence and interacting with poly(A) polymerase and other factors to bring about
Function:
Component of the cleavage and polyadenylation specificity factor (CPSF) complex that plays a key role in pre-mRNA 3\' -end formation recognizing the AAUAAA signal sequence and interacting with poly(A) polymerase and other factors to bring about cleavage and poly(A) addition. FIP1L1 contributes to poly(A) site recognition and stimulates poly(A) addition. Binds to U-rich RNA sequence elements surrounding the poly(A) site. May act to tether poly(A) polymerase to the CPSF complex.
Subunit:
Component of the cleavage and polyadenylation specificity factor (CPSF) complex composed of CPSF1 CPSF2 CPSF3 CPSF4 and FIP1L1. Found in a complex with CPSF1 FIP1L1 and PAPOLA. Interacts with CPSF1 CPSF4 CSTF2 CSTF3 and PAPOLA.
Subcellular Location:
Nucleus.
Disease:
A fusion of FIP1L1 and PDGFRA (FIP1L1-PDGFRA) due to an interstitial chromosomal deletion del(4)(q12q12) is the cause of some cases of hypereosinophilic syndrome (HES) [MIM:607685]. HES is a rare hematologic disorder characterized by sustained overproduction of eosinophils in the bone marrow eosinophilia tissue infiltration and organ damage.
Similarity:
Belongs to the FIP1 family. Zhao. X. . (2005) J. Virol. 79 (7). 4270-4288.
