TGF-α is an EGF-related polypeptide growth factor that signals through the EGF receptor, and stimulates the proliferation of a wide range of epidermal and epithelial cells. It is produced by monocytes, keratinocytes, and various tumor cells. TGF-α induces transformation anchorage independence in cultured cells.



The BioGems Human TGF-α Pre-Coated ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is a solid phase immunoassay specially designed to measure TGF-α with a 96-well strip plate that is pre-coated with mouse monoclonal antibody specific for TGF-α. It contains E. coli-expressed recombinant TGF-α. The detection antibody is a biotinylated goat polyclonal antibody specific for TGF-α. The kit is analytically validated with ready to use reagents.
