Description	LDHB Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 334 amino acids (1-334) and having a molecular mass of 36.6kDa.
Storage/Stability	Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Purity	Greater than 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Form	The LDHB solution (1mg/ml) contains 20mM Tris-HCl (pH 8.0), 10% glycerol and 1mM DTT.
Protein Background	LDHB is part of the lactate dehydrogenase family. LDHB is an oxidoreductase which catalyses the interconversion of pyruvate and lactate with concomitant interconversion of NADH and NAD+. LDHB catalyzes the oxidation of hydroxybutyrate, and frequently called Hydroxybutyrate Dehydrogenase (HBD). The LDH family consists of three members, LDH-A, LDH-B and LDH-C. LDHs function as powerful markers for germ cell tumors.
