Background	Sclerostin, also known as SOST, is a member of the Cerberus/DAN family of BMP antagonists. SOST is asecreted glycoprotein with a C-terminal cysteine knot-like (CTCK) domain. It shows sequence similarity to the DAN (differential screening-selected gene aberrative in neuroblastoma) family of bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) antagonists. SOST is produced by the osteocyte & has anti-anabolic effects on bone formation. It is a negative regulator of bone growth that acts through inhibition of Wnt signaling & bone formation.
Description	Recombinant Human Sclerostin is produced by our Mammalian expression system & the target gene encoding Gln24-Tyr213 is expressed with a 6His tag at the C-terminus.
Endotoxin	Less than 0.1 ng/ug (1 IEU/ug) as determined by LAL test.
Formulation	Lyophilized from a 0.2 um filtered solution of 20mM Tris, 250mM NaCl, pH 8.0.

Reconstitution	Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting. It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 ug/ml. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in ddH2O. Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.

Storage	Lyophilized protein should be stored at < -20C, though stable at room temperature for 3 weeks. Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 4-7C for 2-7 days. Aliquots of reconstituted samples are stable at < -20C for 3 months.
