Introduction	Thymidylate synthase catalyzes the methylation of deoxyuridylate to deoxythymidylate using 5, 10-methylenetetrahydrofolate as a cofactor which maintains the dTMP (thymidine-5-prime monophosphate) pool vital for DNA replication and repair. Thymidylate synthase plays an important role as a cancer chemotherapeutic agent. Thymidylate synthase is the primary site of action for 5-fluorouracil, 5-fluoro-2-prime-deoxyuridine, and several folate analogs.
Usage	ProSpec's products are furnished for LABORATORY RESEARCH USE ONLY. The product may not be used as drugs, agricultural or pesticidal products, food additives or household chemicals.
Immunogen	Anti-human TYMS mAb, is derived from hybridization of mouse F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with recombinant human TYMS amino acids 1-313 purified from E. coli.
Purification Method	TYMS antibody was purified from mouse ascitic fluids by protein-G affinity chromatography.
Storage	For periods up to 1 month store at 4C, for longer periods of time, store at -20C. Prevent freeze thaw cycles.
