Background	Ddr1, also known asCAK, NEP, CD167a, and EDDR1, is a 12 14 kDa type I transmembraneglycoprotein belonging to the discoidin-like domain-containing subfamily ofreceptor tyrosine kinases. Mature mouse Ddr1 consists of a 395 aaextracellular domain (ECD) that includes the discoidin-like domain, a 27 aatransmembrane segment, and a 47 aa cytoplasmic domain with the tyrosinekinase domain. Within the ECD, mouse Ddr1 shares 93% aa sequence identitywith human and rat Ddr1, respectively.
