Full recombinant human olfactomedin 1 protein with a GST tag

Human olfactomedin 1 shares high sequence homology with the rat protein. While the exact function of the encoded protein is not known, its abundant expression in brain suggests that it may have an essential role in nerve tissue. It localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum lumen and there are several isoforms produced by alternative splicing.

Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications have not been tested.

Recommended Dilutions:
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile 40-50% glycerol, ddH2O. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. Aliquot and store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
