Recombinant human TLR2 (221-384aa) purified from E. coli

Toll-like receptor 2 (TLR2) has been shown to mediate the innate immune response to ligands derived from a variety of pathogens, including Gram-positive bacteria, Mycoplasma, yeasts, and parasites. TLR2 is a signalling receptor that is activated by LPS in a response that depends on LPS-binding protein and is enhanced by CD14. A region in the intracellular domain of TLR2 with homology to a portion of the interleukin (IL)-1 receptor that is implicated in the activation of the IL-1-receptor-associated kinase is required for this response.

Hybridoma:
Mouse SP2/O myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with a recombinant human TLR2 protein.

Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blotting. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Western Blotting: 1:500-1:1000
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50?. Freeze at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
