Human Toll-Like receptor 2 (TLR2) is a 97kD, 766aa type I transmembrane glycoprotein of the Toll-like receptor family (TLR) of pattern recognition receptors. TLR2 is expressed on most leukocytes, endothelial cells and hepatocytes. It forms heterodimers with TLR1, TLR6, or in humans, TLR10, and recognizes lipoproteins and glycolipids from bacteria, mycoplasma, and yeast. Ligand recognition by TLR2 stimulates production of pro-inflammatory cytokines including TNF-a, IL-2, IL-6, IL-12, and MIP-2. The extracellular regions of human and mouse TLR2 share 67% aa identity.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Stable for at least 12 months at 4°C. Freezing APC conjugates will result in a substantial loss of activity. APC conjugates are sensitive to light.
