Phosphotyrosine Control, EGF-Stimulated A431 Cell

Supplied as a frozen solution in RIPA sample buffer (50mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.4, 1% NP40, 0.25% sodium deoxycholate, 150mM sodium chloride, 1mM EDTA, 1mM PMSF, 1ug/ml aprotinin, 1ug/ml leupeptin, 1ug/ml pepstatin, 1mM Na3VO4, 1mM NaF).

Applications:
Positive control for anti-phosphotyrosine antibodies. Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilutions:
Western Blot: Detects the phosphorylated EGF receptor (170kD) and other tyrosine phosphorylated proteins in 20ug of the preparation. Add an equal volume of Laemmli reducing sample buffer to 5-25ul of lysate and boil for 5 min to reduce the preparation.
Immunoprecipitation Positive Control: This preparation may also be used for immunoprecipitation with anti-phosphotyrosine agarose.

Storage and Stability:
Store at -20ºC Stable for 6 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
