Supplied as a liquid in 20mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.0, 10% glycerol.

The SIRT6 is included in class IV of the sirtuin family, homologs to the yeast Sir2 protein. The functions of human sirtuins have not yet been determined; however, in yeast sirtuins are known to regulate epigenetic gene silencing. Also SIRT6, a chromatin-associated protein, appears to be involved in DNA repair.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
