Physical Appearance and Stability: Lyophilized FGF-2 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18C. Upon reconstitution FGF-b should be stored at 4C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18C.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Formulation and Purity: The FGF2 was filtered (0.2um) and lyophilized from 0.68mg/ml in 1xPBS. Greater than 95% as obsereved by SDS-PAGE.
Application:
Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized FGF-b in sterile PBS containing 0.1% endotoxin-free recombinant HSA.
Biological Activity: The specific activity was determined by the dose dependent stimulation of proliferation of the Balb/c 3T3 cell line, the ED50 is 0.007ng/ml.
