OSM Rat Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 214 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 24.3kDa.The OSM is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Physical Appearance and Stability: Lyophilized Oncostatin M although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18C. Upon reconstitution Oncostatin should be stored at 4C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18C.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Formulation and Purity: OSM protein was lyophilized from a 0.2um filtered concentrated solution in 1xPBS, pH 7.4. Greater than 95.0% as determined by:(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC.(b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Oncostatin M in sterile 18MO-cm H2O not less than 100ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Biological Activity: The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of rat C6 cells is < 5.0 ug/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of > 200 units/mg.
