Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.4, 0.09% sodium azide.

Microtubule protein (bovine brain) enriched for kinesin.

MAP2a and 2b (270kD) being found mostly in dendrites, stabilize microtubules (shift the reaction kinetics in addition of new subunits and microtubule growth) and participate in determining the structure of different parts of vertebrate nerve cells.

Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 10ug/ml
Immunohistochemistry: Frozen
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Controls:
Immunohistochemistry (frozen): mouse brain
Immunoprecipitation: porcine brain.
Western Blot: porcine brain
ELISA: porcine brain
Immunocytochemistry: uman neuroblastoma SH-SY5Y.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
