Bio Background	This gene is a member of the N-myc downregulated genefamily which belongs to the alpha/beta hydrolase superfamily. Theprotein encoded by this gene is a cytoplasmic protein that may playa role in neurite outgrowth. This gene may be involved inglioblastoma carcinogenesis. Several alternatively splicedtranscript variants of this gene have been described, but thefull-length nature of some of these variants has not beendetermined.
