Background
SPATA4 Antibody: The spermatogenesis associated protein 4 (SPATA4) protein, also known as TSARG1, is highly expressed in testis, and to a much lower extent in other tissues. SPATA4 contains a highly conserved DUF1042 domain, but no significant homology with any other known protein. SPATA4 is thought to play an important role in the development of cryptorchid testis and is a testis-specific apoptosis candidate oncogene.

Application Note
SPATA4 antibody can be used for detection of SPATA4 by Western blot at 1 - 2 μ g/mL. Antibody can also be used for immunohistochemistry starting at 2.5 μ g/mL. For immunofluorescence start at 20 μ g/mL.
Antibody validated: Western Blot in mouse samples; Immunohistochemistry in mouse samples and Immunofluorescence in mouse samples. All other applications and species not yet tested.

At least two isoforms of SPATA4 are known to exist; this antibody will detect both isoforms. SPATA4 antibody is predicted to not cross-react with SPATA protein family members

SPATA4 antibody was raised against an 18 amino acid synthetic peptide near the carboxy terminus of human SPATA4.

The immunogen is located within amino acids 200 - 250 of SPATA4.
