Description	Chicken Insulin-like Growth Factor-II (Chicken IGF-II) is a polypeptide of 66 amino acids, twelve of which differ from the amino acid sequence of human IGF-II. Chicken IGF-II stimulates growth and differentiation in many cell types, including rat L6 myoblasts and chicken embryo fibroblasts
Reconstitution	IGF peptides are supplied as lyophilized preparations in glass vials in an atmosphere of nitrogen at a slight vacuum (-25 kPa). To avoid losses care should be taken to equilibrate this vacuum when opening the vial and reconstituting the peptide.
Biological Activity	Type 1 IGF receptor binding assay: ED50 < 20 ng/ml, Stimulation of protein synthesis in rat L6 myoblasts: ED50 < 150 ng/ml
